In season five of Fear Thy Neighbor, Head in the Oven
takes place in North Canton, Ohio and shows the story of William Perry and Brett Smith.

The show is described as two neighboring bachelors start
out as friends; harmless banter turns into threats eventually igniting an escalating war; the violence ends with a murder so shocking it is almost beyond belief.   

William Perry pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated murder with death-penalty specifications, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. He was sentenced to life. He plead to avoid receiving a death penalty.

Judy Smith called 911, and North Canton Police Officers responded.  Upon their entry into the trailer, Police found the decapitated body, which was later determined to be Brett Smith’s, on the bathroom floor.  All of the fingers and both thumbs had also been severed.  One finger and one thumb were located on the bathroom floor near the base of the toilet.  The body had been wrapped in plastic wrap and covered with blue and white paint.  Aknife was sticking out of his chest.
